Leaving your dog behind while you travel can be stressful—but it doesn’t have to be. At Pinnacle K9, we offer safe, secure, and comfortable dog boarding in a quiet 40-acre facility near Colorado Springs.
To help your dog settle in with ease, here are six simple steps to prepare for their stay.
1. Check Vaccination Requirements
For the safety of all dogs in our care, we require current vaccinations for:
- Rabies
- DHLPP
- Bordetella
- Canine Influenza
- Negative fecal test
Make sure all vaccines are administered at least 2–5 days before arrival. Bordetella must be given at least 24 hours in advance.
👉 Don’t forget to email vaccination records before check-in.
2. Bring Their Food
A sudden diet change can upset your dog’s stomach. To keep things consistent, bring their regular food in a labeled container. We also offer in-house food at $2.50/meal if needed.
3. Pack Comfort Items
Familiar items help your dog feel more at home. Feel free to bring:
- Favorite toys
- Treats
- A blanket or small bed (optional)
We provide clean bedding and bowls, but personal items are always welcome.
4. Stick to Their Routine
Let us know your dog’s feeding and medication schedule when you fill out our intake form. We’ll follow your instructions closely to minimize stress and keep their routine consistent.
5. Plan for Drop-Off and Pick-Up Times
- Check-out is at 12 PM for boarding stays
- Daycare pick-up is by 6 PM
- Holiday or late pickups may include additional charges
- A $45 deposit is required to reserve, with a 3-night minimum during major holidays
6. Fill Out Our Boarding Questionnaire
This helps us understand your dog’s needs, personality, and preferences. The more we know, the better we can care for them.
A little preparation goes a long way in ensuring a smooth, stress-free boarding experience for both you and your dog. If you’re traveling from Falcon, Colorado Springs, or Denver—Pinnacle K9 is your trusted partner in quality pet care.
